Bulk Delivery Updates: Save Hours Every Week

Scaling Pains: The 100-Order Weekend
Congratulations! You had a great sales weekend. You shipped 100 orders using your local delivery van on Monday.
On Tuesday, all 100 customers have their packages. But on Shopify, all 100 orders say Unfulfilled or In Transit.
Updating them one by one takes about 90 seconds per order (search, click, load, click, save). 100 orders * 1.5 minutes = 2.5 hours of mind-numbing clicking.
This is exactly the kind of operational bottleneck that prevents stores from scaling effectively.
The Bulk Solution
With Mark Delivered, you can handle this in 2 minutes.
How It Works
- Open the App Dashboard: Instead of the Orders list, open the Mark Delivered app.
- View Pending Fulfillments: We automatically show you all orders that are fulfilled but not delivered.
- Select All: Click the checkbox at the top to select all 50 displayed orders.
- Click "Mark Delivered": One click.
- Watch it Work: The app processes the queue, updating each order via Shopify's Admin API. Note: Shopify has rate limits, so we handle the throttling for you to ensure every update goes through safely.
Handling Exceptions
What if 3 of those orders weren't delivered?
- Simply uncheck those 3 specific orders before clicking the bulk button.
- Or, use the search bar to filter by carrier (e.g., search "Local Van") and only select those orders.
Adding Notes in Bulk
Need to add a record? You can append a note to all selected orders, like "Delivered by Tuesday Driver". This appears in the order timeline for your support staff to see.
Why Manual Updates Cost More Than Time
Beyond the 2.5 hours of clicking, manual order updates have hidden costs:
- Customer satisfaction: Delayed status updates lead to WISMO ("Where is my order?") support tickets
- Post-purchase automation: Many apps trigger review requests or loyalty points after delivery confirmation
- Operational bottleneck: Your team can't scale operations when stuck on manual tasks
