What does "Delivered" mean in Shopify vs carriers?
In Shopify, "Delivered" is a fulfillment status that indicates the package has reached the customer. Carriers like UPS and FedEx automatically update this status via webhooks. For non-integrated carriers, you need to manually set this status—that's what Mark Delivered does.
Does this change tracking status or only fulfillment status?
Mark Delivered updates the fulfillment status to "Delivered" using Shopify's official fulfillmentEventCreate API. This is the same status that integrated carriers would set automatically. It does not modify tracking numbers or carrier data.
Who can mark delivered? Permissions and roles
Any Shopify admin user with "Orders" permissions can use Mark Delivered. The app respects Shopify's built-in permission system. Staff accounts with limited permissions will only see orders they have access to.
How do bulk actions work? Can I mark many orders at once?
Yes! In the app dashboard, you can select up to 50 orders at once and mark them all as delivered with one click. The app handles Shopify's rate limits automatically, processing orders in batches to ensure all updates go through successfully.
Is there an audit log? Who changed what and when?
Yes. Every "Mark Delivered" action is logged with the timestamp and the Shopify user who performed it. You can view the full history in the app dashboard. This is useful for compliance, troubleshooting, and team accountability.
Does it trigger flows, reviews, Klaviyo, etc?
Yes! Marking an order as delivered triggers the same Shopify events as a carrier update. This means your Shopify Flow automations, Klaviyo post-purchase emails, Judge.me review requests, and any other integrations listening for "Delivered" status will fire automatically.
Can we attach proof of delivery?
You can add a delivery note (e.g., "Left at reception" or "Signed by John") which appears in the order timeline. However, the app does not currently support uploading images or PDFs as proof of delivery. This is a planned feature for a future release.
What happens when I uninstall? What data is retained?
When you uninstall the app, all audit logs and app-specific data are deleted from our servers within 48 hours. The fulfillment statuses you set (e.g., "Delivered") remain in Shopify—they are part of your Shopify order data, not app data.
